1944 North American SNJ-5

1944 NORTH AMERICAN SNJ-5 • $159,900 • SOLD • World Famous “Felix” has been a fixture at the Reno National Air Races for many years as the T-6 Class Pace Plane. Having spent all of it's military career at Pensacola NAS, Florida (Fighting 31) Felix is in excellent condition, with low time, complete logbooks and a great paint scheme. The engine was built by Tulsa Aircraft Engines (Rex) with approximately 200 hours. The propeller was rebuilt at the same time (second run blades) by American Propeller (Redding CA) with a one-of-a-kind paint scheme by Designer Prop to compliment the fuselage paint scheme. It also has the very rare wing and fuselage gun barrels installed, and a solid rubber tailwheel. Felix is loaded with the best avionics including a Garmin GNS430 and PS Engineering PM4000 audio panel and Garmin GTX327 Transponder. Felix has always been meticulously maintained.

As a Warbird owner, I've always considered myself as just a 'custodian' of a piece of American History. With that honor, it is also my responsibility to display this pride of national heritage to the public. As of late, I have not done a very good job of that. Felix deserves to be back in the limelight to be enjoyed and displayed in the public eye. It's is (sadly for me) time for a new owner.
